Resetting the Hard Drive on your Motorola DVR

Introduction

WARNING: This will clear all DVR content, all scheduled recordings, favorites, and other settings.
- First, make sure that the AC outlet is set to Always On, so that the TV will stay on when the converter is off.
- Next, have the customer walk up to the converter and locate the Power and Select buttons.

- Press Power on the converter

Within 3 Seconds of the converter being off, press [Select], [Select]. You must press this button twice or it will not work
- You should see the diagnostics screen

If you do not see this screen, you've missed the 3 second window. Turn the converter on and then off again to repeat the process.

- Press the following DVR remote buttons in rapid succession:

- The Display Window on the Converter Box should say "Clr"

If it doesn't, press the above buttons in the same sequence again

If it doesn't, press the above buttons in the same sequence again
- On the remote, press [OK/Select] to proceed with the reset
- The DVR should now reset and download the guide data from the local headend
You should wait at least a half hour before touching the converter. After this time, turn the converter back on and check the HD space. It should then be cleared out. - Press Power on the converter
