Choose the selection that best describes your specific problem: 


Interference/Static/Noise 

 

  • Unplug all equipment from your telephone jacks such as cordless telephones, answering machines, computers, and fax machines.  

 

  • Plug in a standard corded telephone. Cordless telephones can pick up static or noise from FM, CB, Ham radio, Scanners, Baby Monitors or other cordless phone signals.  

     

    • Does the interference continue?

      • No
        • Determine which equipment is causing the problem by plugging each piece back in individually.

      • Yes
        • Call Customer Service at 1-800-RING-RCN

         

I can hear and carry on a conversation with another person when I am using my telephone.

    • No
      • If possible ask the person you are hearing for their telephone number.

       

      • Report the information to customer service.  Knowing the other person's number speeds up the repair process.
